Amazon's October Prime Day is a great time to pick up any kind of tech at a discount. And if you're in need of a new pair of workout earbuds, the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are currently $70 off. As of Oct. 7, they're down to $179.95, making this their best-ever price.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 combine a secure ear-hook design with smart features that do more than just play music. They have built-in heart rate monitoring and Active Noise Cancellation to block out surrounding distractions. There's also Transparency mode, which allows you to stay aware of your surroundings when you need to hear things like traffic or other runners.
But the heart rate tracking is one of the biggest reasons to consider these earbuds. Sensors built into the earbuds monitor your pulse during exercise, taking readings more than 100 times per second. They're also IPX4-rated, so they're designed to cope with sweat and splashes from water or rain.
Battery life is another strong point, with up to 45 hours of listening time when you include the charging case. And if you've forgotten to charge them before a workout, a five-minute Fast Fuel charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of playback.
The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are currently available for their lowest price at Amazon, so don't miss out.
